ERIC BRETON – Composer, pianist and musical director

With over a hundred diverse works to his credit, Eric takes on every kind of music : from Jazz to contemporary, symphonic works (Bosnian Overture - commissioned by Yehudi Menuhin), concertos ( Fantasy for piano, wind instruments and percussion – with Gerard Wyss at the piano), ballet music (Ivresse de Dionysos – choreography by Eric Vu-an), sacred music (La messe d’Avignon for the opening of the Avignon Festival in the year 2000), chamber music (Toccatrois for 3 pianos), several song cycles on texts of Christian Bobin, Victor Hugo and Jacques Prévert. He has also composed for a number of musical plays including Aimer c’est Agir, Regards sur Petrarque and The Song of Don Quixote.

ANTHONY GARNER – Co-writer and lyricist

Anthony wrote, directed and produced his first film The Racer, starring Pete Postlethwaite. It was funded by the British Film Institute and was screened at many international film festivals. Having trained as an actor and with no formal training in film he was invited onto the BBC Directors’ Course and went on to write, adapt and direct many films and plays for television and the theatre. Recently he completed the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostella and extracts from his travel diaries where broadcast on BBC Radio Four. He is currently writing a novel set on the pilgrimage that concerns the apparition of Marcus Aurelius on his walk to Cap Finisterre - the end of the world. Currently he is writing and developing a series for television set during WWI.

CHRISTOPHER NEAME – Co-writer and lyricist

As a Producer Christopher has been responsible for many films and television series such as The Knowledge (BAFTA nominated), The Flame Trees of Thika, The Irish R.M. and Soldier, Soldier. He has several screenplays to his credit including Graham Greene's Monsignor Quixote, starring Alec Guinness (Christopher Award New York and BAFTA nominated) and H.E. Bates's Feast of July for Disney. He also wrote the stage version of Monsignor Quixote. In 2003 he wrote the book and lyrics for the stage musical, Courtenay which he produced in the UK. Recently he has written the books; Rungs On a Ladder for Scarecrow Press about his formative years with Hammer Films; A Take on British TV Drama, and Principal Characters. His fictional work includes Lonicera, a love story set in New Zealand and on the European Continent. He is married and lives in the South of France.

JEAN-DENIS VIVIEN – Set and Costume Designer

After his debut with the Festival of Aix en Provence, Jean-Denis became assistant designer to Roger Hart and for five years was responsible for sets and costumes for a number of plays with actors such as Jean Marais, Jean Piat and Jean le Poulain. As a director he has worked with the Festival des Arts Baroques in Avignon and Arabesco Stravagante at the Venice Carnival. He has collaborated with Maité Fossen and Eric Vu-an on several ballet productions. He was artistic director of the Festival of Grignan from 1995-98 and has also been responsible for the design of several exhibitions (The Pompidou Centre and The Marais Cultural Centre). Jean-Denis also teaches set design and history of costume.
